Will AI replace design and development?
It’s unlikely that AI will replace designers and developers. The world needs thinkers, craftspeople, and curators, not just pixel pushers and code monkeys.
AI handles tasks and generates outputs, but human decision-making and creativity remain essential.
AI relies on historical data, which hampers its capacity to innovate and foresee future needs.
The responsibility of thinking ahead and pioneering the "next big thing" remains with humans. While AI can provide solutions based on training data, it needs help with original, out-of-the-box thinking.
Art stems from human emotions, a realm AI can't fully grasp. Being human means having emotions and anticipating human behaviors in the real world.
AI does however propel productivity, and provide assistance for creative acts. I cannot imagine my work day without it.
Humans and machines are a good combo.
