Accessing Hlauptungufoss and Brúarfoss from the Golden Circle

If you're traveling the Golden Circle with extra time to spare, consider spending two hours to see two beautiful waterfalls, Hlauptungufoss and Brúarfoss.

The walk starts on the road by the river Brúará (parking coordinates). Many people never hear about these gems that offer an opportunity to experience powerful waterfalls up, close and personal.

It takes around 30 minutes until you stumble upon Hlauptungufoss.

And another 30 minutes until you’ll see Brúarárfoss.

Brúarfoss offers stunning views from an old bridge that was built over it, often passed by locals on a horse.
